Tips for Writing Section
- With good vocabulary and grammar, you can get a perfect score of 90 out of 90. You can expect to get a score of around 73 if your vocabulary and grammar are average.
- Try to keep your responses to 35–45 words. Avoid using overly long sentences because the scoring methods may not be able to accurately evaluate them.
- Pay close attention to the punctuation marks.
- In a sentence, capitalize all the first words and nouns.
- Unless you are asked for examples, don’t give them.
- Avoid using I, Me, We, and other first-person pronouns in your summary.
- Pay special attention to the last paragraph, which usually offers the text’s summation.
- Each paragraph should be summarized in a single sentence.
Tips for Listening Section
- Students who are preparing for the PTE test are advised to listen actively, you can listen to different English songs and focus on the lyrics.
- Watch movies and television shows with subtitles first, then without.
- Listening to fresh information will expand your vocabulary which will eventually allow you to understand spoken English as you listen in an improved way.
- It is suggested that you read the questions before listening to the audio.
- Keep concentrating till the end, as the answers may be at the end.
Tips for Speaking Section
- The sentences will sound more authentic if you use a rising tone at the beginning and a falling tone at the finish.
- If you realize you’ve made a mistake, don’t stop speaking.
- Every day until the exam day, begin practicing with new tongue twisters from the first day of preparation.
- Close your eyes and listen to the sentence.
- As there is no beep at the completion of the tape, simply begin speaking when it has finished.
- If you can’t remember the entire text, at the very least concentrate on the keywords and repeat them.
Tips for Reading Section
- To obtain the correct answer, understand the passage’s core message and concentrate on keywords.
- Concentrate on the frequency words (for example, always, sometimes, never many, all, often, never, only) and remove those options to find the correct answer.
- Because this question does not have a negative marking option, answer it and do not leave it blank.
- Use the rule of elimination to your advantage. Reduce the number of alternatives you have as much as possible.
- To understand what kind of information to look for, read the question before reading the text.
- Remember the material in the passage because the questions will not be answered in order and the solution will be found anywhere in the passage.
- Learn to paraphrase, which involves expressing the same idea with different words.

Listening Section: 30-43 Minutes.
Speaking and Writing Section: 54-67 minutes.
PTE Preparation Strategies
PTE Exam Preparation Tips: The Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic, like other standardized English language examinations, comprises components that evaluate your reading, listening, speaking, and writing abilities. Candidates taking the PTE exam should be aware that there is a variety of PTE study material available on the internet. As a result, applicants should only rely on reliable sources of information and consult the official PTE website for the most up-to-date PTE material.
Students frequently begin their preparation by enrolling in a coaching center or registering for free practice examinations. What a student overlooks is that, like any other exam, language competency exams require a technique. Remember that no amount of tips, tactics, or tools will be able to overcome the practice’s dedication and efficiency.
How Long Does it Take to Prepare for the PTE Academic Test?
